Aidan is now offering sex advice on the Quietus website! The column is accurately named “I’m No Expert” and can be found here:

Oh dear.

UPDATE - Apparently there’s been quite a response to this column and it looks like it will now become a regular monthly feature! You can read the second installment here:

Yes, sorry for the lack of any news recently, but there hasn’t been much to report. Summer is usually quite quiet, but here’s what you can expect in the next few months:

1. The Aloha Hawaii 10” single which will soon be available for pre-order from Chemikal Underground and will come with a special offer on a quite snazzy Aloha Hawaii t-shirt! Release date is yet to be confirmed but it’s looking like the 1st of September. (See below for details)

2. New merchandise from our shop! There should be new t-shirts available soon, a re-stock of the Angry Buddhists album and there are vague rumblings about a vinyl-only Aidan John Moffat live album as recorded at the Arches in Glasgow…

3. Aidan Moffat & The Best-Ofs may be making a festival appearance later this year - details when we have them. The album is now finished too and will be released on Valentine’s Day next year! Look for previews, downloads and online activity soon!

Also, we were having some trouble with our mailing list, so if you haven’t received anything, please forgive us. We should have it sorted very soon. And we’ll also have some new free downloads too!

Aidan has yet another new project on the go - an often discussed but rarely realised collaborative partnership with Stuart Braithwaite from Mogwai! Their plan is to release a sporadic series of vinyl-only 7” singles over the course of the next year or two, hopefully culminating in a full album sometime in the future. There will be no digital format of these songs available anywhere, absolutely 100% old-fashioned record ONLY. The first single, Towns On The Moon b/w I‘ve Been Bad For Years And Years, will be available from Chemikal Underground at the end of July!
